Egyptian Security Detains activists Protesting Wars in Gaza and Sudan
Egyptian security forces have arrested several women participating in a demonstration in front of the United Nations regional office in Cairo, which called for an end to the war in Gaza and Sudan.
Among those detained are journalists, lawyers, and women’s rights activists.
According to participant accounts, the demonstrators were subjected to pushing, beating, and having their phones stolen.
Law and Democracy Support Foundation is urging Egyptian authorities for the immediate and unconditional release of the detainees, emphasizing the necessity to ensure their safety.
