The Supreme State Security Prosecution (SSSP) today ordered the release of several Al Ahly SC fans on a guarantee of their place of residence, pending Case No. 3099 of 2025 (Supreme State Security), known in the media as the “Al Ahly Fans Case.” The release comes after they spent around a year and a half in pretrial detention pending investigations on charges of joining a banned group.
Those released are:
- Khaled Mohamed Abdel Badie
- Hamdy Emad Hamdy Arafa
- Tarek Adel Abdel Fattah Salama
- Hossam Hassan Ahmed
- Amr Khaled Atef Abu Soliman
- Mohamed Zeinhom Abdel Rahman
- Youssef Mohamed Abu El Nour
The Prosecution also ordered the release of Mohamed Fouad Abdel Kader on a guarantee of his place of residence, pending Case No. 4881 of 2025 (Supreme State Security).
Notably, the Cairo Criminal Court, sitting in its deliberation chamber at the Badr Courts Complex, had reviewed the renewal of their detention pending investigations at its session on 6 September 2026. It had also reviewed the detention renewal of the minor Mohamed Fouad Abdel Kader at its session on 10 October 2026, before the Supreme State Security Prosecution ordered their release.
