Law and Democracy Support Foundation (LDSF) has joined the international appeal launched by the International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk (ICFR), demanding the immediate and unconditional release of Egyptian filmmaker and screenwriter Omar Salah Marei, and opposing his arbitrary pretrial detention since May 11.
LDSF adds its voice to more than 100 filmmakers and film institutions around the world who signed the petition launched by the Coalition (ICFR), reaffirming that freedom of opinion, expression, and the right to creativity are inherent rights that must not be restricted.
LDSF calls upon film workers, organizations, institutions, and individuals around the world to join the Coalition’s appeal and sign the petition to support filmmaker Omar Salah Marei.
